Undetected, untreated and/or inadequately treated STDs can lead to serious health problems that may ultimately result in permanent tissue damage, threaten one's life and/or result in loss of life.
I am speaking from personal experience. Believe me, you want to go to a doctor because the consequences can ultimately affect you for the rest of your life. I has similar symptoms when i was 17...i didn't take care of it right away because i was scared. A PID (Pelvic inflammatory disease) and 10 years of very horrific pain later i wish i had. You can find information on places where you can go and get checked out in the Planned Parenthood web page
http://www.plannedparenthood.org/
seriously it could just be vaginitis, but if it is not, it could seriously affect you chances of having kids, your sex life, etc. Believe me it really sucks!

it could be something as simple as a kind of bacteria in your vagina that isnt supposed to be there... you need to go get that pap, if it is bacterial it will be easily solved with a course of antibiotics. Dont be scared though... i'm sure it will be fine, maybe thats normal for you... remember that everyone is different.

go to a doctor and get a pap smear right now. if you have something, then it will keep getting worst and worst until you fix it.
