When I worked as a chef in a hotel in Iqauluit in Canada's Nunavut territory, I well, I mean we had a dish prepared from the local narwal, it is a type of whale( lools like a seal with a long horn, also caled sea unicorns) hunted by the Inuit and we served both the blubber and meat in the fine dining room at the hotel along with Musk Ox, Caribou and Snowshoe Hare.

It tasted like a chew beef fat with grissle, the meat was better, almost steak like, but the can of fried ant from Saudia Arabia I had was a close second, I enjoyed both very much, thrid would have been the rattlesnake from Texas.

Pork Belly. It was an appetizer at a fancy restaurant.

Doesn't it sound absolutely nasty?

That was the best meat I have ever tasted.

There were three layers. The first layer was similar to Canadian Bacon. The second layer was a thin layer of fat. The last layer was a very, etremely tender roast. The whole thing just melted in your mouth.

It was so delicious, I could only eat one bite, if that makes any sense.

Hog's head cheese, boudin(white) not red (blood), greards (heart, kidney, spleen, diff organs of beef or hog) Makes the best rice & gravy. Cracklins. We here in Louisiana will cook anything & I guarentee you'll love it. If you're wimpy don't ask what you're eating 1st or you'll chicken out. Of course turtle, aligator, rabbit, squirrel, I could go on and on. But we have a unique culture & we love good food. And don't forget the boiled crawfish, after you break the tail you must suck the head, it is awesome. If you ever come to Louisiana make sure to eat authentic Cajun food, don't get it in a grocery store, get it from a true Cajun.

Bombay Duck - it is dried fish (contrary to its name) & used to be served with Indian Food, until residents near restaurants in the UK complained about the smell when it was cooking! It tastes delicious though,& I am really p---ed off that they don´t sell it anymore!
