You really have a beautiful spirit that you can express by a holiday dinner. How wonderful is that? It's true, where is the help when we need it?? We have to do these nice things regardless of the balance of do-gooding of others. Keep being the lovely person you are and you will be helped in other ways. Best of luck to you!!

Go for it, I think thats a brilliant thing to do. And if nobody is ever around when you want help, then they obviously need a preverbial kick up the backside.

Besides, if you make people thanksgiving dinner every year, then you've got a whole load of favours you can use =P

I guess your friend doesn't have any good will in him. I do the same thing, and pay all the expenses too! I find it fun, and a way to show love. Keep on cooking, and giving, God will bless you for the act of kindness.

Does it make you happy to cook for people? Then keep doing it. If it does not or the clean up is just too much, then maybe you are setting your self up to be disappointed.

The spirit of giving is to give with asking nothing in return. He obviously does not understand this concept and will only do for others, if there is something they can do for him.
I hope you keep with your holiday tradition. Its a wonderful thing to do.

So what. That's his opinion. I say keep doing whagt you are doing and and when you wanna. Don't listen to him. I think you are great person and I think it is awsome to let people eat the food you cook even if no one helps. DON'T STOP!!!!

If it gives you pleasure to cook it, then that would be all I would care about. Did your friend fix himself a nice big plate after it was done?

Ignore your friend and keep cooking if it makes you happy.

your friend is extremely selfish and doesn't know how to help...sometimes people don't know there are people out there who have nothing for thanksgiving and your friend needs to understand if it wasn't for you then some would go without!
