I'm not kidding! It's called Hufu and it's supposed to taste like human flesh! I'm a vegetarian, but I seriously doubt that I would try it, since it just sounds too gross. However, what I would like to know is how its creators know what human flesh is supposed to taste like. Have they had experiences in cannibalism? Did they hire the survivors of the plane crash in the Andes as consultants? What do you think?

it's pretty well known that human flesh tastes a lot like pork - the cannabalistic natives of the South Pacific even refer to it as "long pig."

Anthropophagia is not as isolated an occurence as the civilized world would like to pretend it is. It was practiced and continues to be practiced just about anywhere where people are starving. Was widespread during WWII by soldiers on the Russian front, at sea throughout the ages, during lean times on the frontier in just about any country, etc. That bunch of Uraguyan rugby boys are by in no means unique - they just got more press than most of the folks that have resorted to it.

Those that have admitted to it and been asked what it tastes like have usually compared it to pork, as I said, although some of the Rugby players you mentioned said it was a lot like beef.

I've never chowed down on a cadaver, though, so I don't know. I do know that I've never had any tofu that really had any taste at all.

It could be made in Papua New Guinea! Joking apart, I don't like meat but survivors of the actual plane crash that alive was based on allegedly said that human flesh tastes like pork but sweeter!! Is Hufu for cannibals- turned-veggie ? In the film the 'Delicatessen' it is set in a post apocalyptic world where they eat human flesh but it is called 'long pig'. In the bizarre British comedy series The League of Gentle men (which I can't watch but I can watch gory horror films and real life operations) they have a mad butcher that sells 'special meat' = human flesh. I don't think I will be running to buy it in my local Sainsbury's anytime soon!!!

I don't think that's real. Too many of us vegans and vegetarians would boycott any company that made a product like that.

They wont say on their website... hmm... suspicious.

HUFU is a ficticious product. It is mostly a scam, not a product.
