I think you definitely have a health issue that warrants a trip to the doc. As you've pointed out, diabetes could be one possible cause for the symptoms you're seeing, and there could be others as well.
Tests are relatively cheap, particularly compared to the value of your life and the risk of the problem getting worse and not being able to do the things you love or losing your job. And until you start the process, you aren't going to have any answers.
Please make an appointment ASAP. I had a dear, dear friend who had some physical symptoms that she tried to ignore, then tried to have addressed by what I will unkindly call quacks, people who told her her problem was due to having "negative energy". By the time she got in to see a doctor, it was too late; she died of cancer about six months later. I miss her every day.
Hopefully your situation isn't as dire as hers was, but there's a lesson there - if you think there may be a problem, there probably is. Make an appointment with people who can help you figure out what it is ASAP. Some of these things - diabetes, hyperthyroidism - can have serious long term consequences, and the sooner they're addressed the better.
Best of luck!

How many symptoms are enough? You have already determined that something is wrong and that you are just not yourself, you are "really tired all the time" and "sleep in til around midday every weekend and im still tired" Duh! It's time to get your butt to a doctor and the sooner the better.
Type II Diabetes, anemia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, all come to my mind - the important thing is to find out for sure what's going on and get it it fixed. Unless, of course, you enjoy sleeping till midday on the weekends and being tired all the time.
Come on - you didn't need anyone on this site to tell you that you need to see your doctor - but now that most of us have, make that call on Monday morning!
Good luck to you.

the symptoms you describe could be a multitude of things- not just diabetes- but obviously you are concerned or you would not ask- what are you drinking? water? this does not mean you have diabetes- and the tired all the time- join the club- you may also have initiated a pattern for your body- or perhaps you are just that, tired- do you work out much? when you work out your body becomes more alert- but still can get tired - what are you eating? sometimes lack of nutrition can cause these symptoms as well---try a good multi vitamin supplement or get a B vitamin supplement cut back on the sweets (candy, soda, cake, fast food , etc) and see if this helps - continue to drink lots of water- and if you are still concerned, see your DR>

I would suggest getting checked for depression.
Next, if you are a diabetic and have not yet been diagnosed, look up diabetes in the dictionary. You will have frequent urination, frequent thirst, cuts that won't heal, leg cramps, and the sense of always being tired. Take it from me who experienced it first hand about 11 years ago.
Get to the doctor and they can tell you right away. If you dont, you could go into a diabetic coma and that would be no good.
Good luck.

Diabetes Symptoms
Often diabetes goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless. Recent studies indicate that the early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes. Some diabetes symptoms include:
Frequent urination
Excessive thirst
Extreme hunger
Unusual weight loss
Increased fatigue
Irritability
Blurry vision
If you have one or more of these diabetes symptoms, see your doctor right away.

Your symptoms do not suggest diabetes but your worry is easily resolved. If you do not have access to a glucometer ask around as you are likely to find someone who does. A fasting glucose of 100 is normal and a fasting glucose above 120 requires a repeat and possibly further testing.

I wouldn't be worried about that too much - my dad has been getting more tired for the past year as well, simply due to old age, and it could be the alcohol, overwork, environment, or several other factors. But since you're worried, and because diabetes is a serious disease, I'd get yourself checked by a doctor.

Although these are symptoms of diabetes, they could also be symptomatic of something else going on.
My best advice to see a doctor and explain the symptoms you are getting. He or she will be able to order the right blood tests and find out whats going on.
