Great question I have a 20 plus page article on this which I will send upon request. In general medical has always been holistic. In the late 1800s Hahnemann in Philadelphia referred to MDs as being allopathic (antagonistic) although the MD approach to patients remained holistic until around 1965 but unfortunatly by 1985 clinical (holistic) medicine became a lost art. A reductionist approach is the present which treats increasingly smaller parts rather than the whole and such an approach to health is always and seriously flawed.
