because gays have anal sex and to be blunt, that area tears easily, giving infected fluids an entrance into your body .

How is HIV Transmitted?

HIV can be transmitted from an infected person to another through:

Blood (including menstrual blood)
Semen
Vaginal secretions
Breast milk
Blood contains the highest concentration of the virus, followed by semen, followed by vaginal fluids, followed by breast milk.

* Activities That Allow HIV Transmission

Unprotected sexual contact
Direct blood contact, including injection drug needles, blood transfusions, accidents in health care settings or certain blood products
Mother to baby (before or during birth, or through breast milk)
Sexual intercourse (vaginal and anal): In the genitals and the rectum, HIV may infect the mucous membranes directly or enter through cuts and sores caused during intercourse (many of which would be unnoticed). Vaginal and anal intercourse is a high-risk practice.

Oral sex (mouth-penis, mouth-vagina): The mouth is an inhospitable environment for HIV (in semen, vaginal fluid or blood), meaning the risk of HIV transmission through the throat, gums, and oral membranes is lower than through vaginal or anal membranes. There are however, documented cases where HIV was transmitted orally, so we can't say that getting HIV-infected semen, vaginal fluid or blood in the mouth is without risk. However, oral sex is considered a low risk practice.

Sharing injection needles: An injection needle can pass blood directly from one person's bloodstream to another. It is a very efficient way to transmit a blood-borne virus. Sharing needles is considered a high-risk practice.

Mother to Child: It is possible for an HIV-infected mother to pass the virus directly before or during birth, or through breast milk. Breast milk contains HIV, and while small amounts of breast milk do not pose significant threat of infection to adults, it is a viable means of transmission to infants.

The following "bodily fluids" are NOT infectious:

Saliva
Tears
Sweat
Feces
Urine

HIV is a blood borne disease only anal intercourse has a higher chance of rupturing capillaries and causing micro amounts of blood to contact than regular vaginal intercourse, secondly condoms break much more regularly during anal intercourse than do condoms n vaginal intercourse. Lastly, the gay population are less likely to use condoms when engaging in intercourse, not out of any malice its just that men are aggressive and horny and when they get going they aren't worried about birth control as are heterosexual couples so high transmission rates of stds., though non monogamous 20-30 year olds are catching up. now you can catch aids by sharing needles, intercourse without a condom or oral sex with an infected person, though transmission is rare, blood transfusion, though rare now in America, but mostly sharing needles, to prevent this use your own gear clean with hot water in a 1:20 bleach:water solution and do not share your gear, this is the easiest way to get aids, second is sex without a condom, especially anal sex. lastly broken condoms and blood transfusions. Stay safe, be careful on partners and get tested just to know

No, you do not have to be gay to get AIDS. It is a STD, so having sex with somebody who is infected, whether that be a man or woman, will increase your risk of catching it. Also, drug users sharing needles with infected people are at risk.

Always use a condom.

Anyone can get aids regardless of sexuality. It is passed through body fluid exchange like semen or blood. It can be transmitted throught sexual intercourse or blood to blood contact (say like intraveneous needle sharing). The gay thing is just a stigma, you are just as likely to get it if you are straight and have unprotected sex or share needles.

First you need a port of exit (infected person) and a port of entry(the partner).. Infection occurs when infected high risk body fluids(blood, sperm, vaginal secretions,Brest milk ,or amniotic fluids) Exit the infected person and enter the partner. It can enter the body through vaginal sex, anal sex, oral sex through open wounds, sores & mucous membrines which is soft fragile tissue we have on the penial canal, vaginal canal, oround our eyes,in our nose also around our fingers (cuticles) any open cut is a port of entry.Gay men are at more risk because the anus tears very easy. also to be correct you DON'T get AIDS you Get HIV the virus that causes AIDS.Nomater what your lifestye PLEASE always pratice SAFE SEX

Actually, nobody "gets' AIDS. One "gets" HIV which then may progress to AIDS.

It's a subtle difference but a distinct one. A person who has HIV doesn't necessarily have AIDS. However, a person with AIDS, by definition, has HIV.
