I took the South Beach Diet book out of the library. It has some great recipes, full day menus as well as a long term plan for diabetics that doesn't leave you hungry.

If you happen to know someone who is a TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) member, you can ask them if you can see their book, The Choice Is Yours. There is a 30 day menu in there that is compatible for diabetics. TOPS' portions are based on the diabetic scale, so working with their program is diabetic friendly. If you don't know someone, go to www.tops.org and see if you can get a copy of their book. I believe you have to be a member to get a book, so finding someone who has one would be faster & cheaper. On that site, there is a chapter locater, which you would be able to see if there's a chapter in your area. Then, you can visit a chapter (which is free for the first visit), and see if someone would be willing to share that information with you. <*)))><
