Most internet sales media market these producsts like diabetesonline etc, hearthealth on line, american diabetes association. but thier policy is they will not sell to any body outside the U.S.A. THESE GADGETS ARE NOT MANUFACTURED IN OUR COUNTRY. Now keeping above in view cant the government set up a special licence for private people, suffering from ailments, to get access to those gadgets, like through the American Consulate Medical wing etc ?

I can understand your frustration.

People in the United States aren't allowed to buy drugs from other countries (except Canada), even thought they are the exact same drugs because they are cheaper in other countries. The pharmaceuatical companies in the US pay the lawmakers so they don't make any laws on how much they can charge for drugs here.

Maybe someday the world will get rid of all the genitally challenged idiots that run these things now, but don't count on it.

Most "gadgets" which are useful are available in India - most of those that are not available are junk. All neccessary equipment for patient use for heart probs or diabetes are available - check with your doctor. A word of caution , for every good gadget advertised on the net, thee are a million bad ones!!!

They will sell. Search for those who will, but you have to pay for the shipping charges.
