Me and my best friend are both good looking guys... but as it turns out I am the lesser good looking of the two of us. Now, whenever we meet girls they all flock to him... and I get the scragglers. How can I draw a little more appeal from the ladies?

See good looking alone is not an attraction . Good manners, laughing , talking jovuly good dressing, praising the girls, not simply hanging on them (because this looks like begging and people lothe beggars) but giving cuts & snicks as if you do not care much for their looks , all this make them flock towards you. First of all have full confidence on yourself because that is most important feeling that would make you behave positively and thats the key to success. Just read some confidence giving books so that they would help you with certain shortcuts and tricks and ofcourse nature will guide you how to act.

If he's actively taking women from you, then he's not your friend. End of story. If however it's just a situation where you're both just standing there, and he is the more appealing of the two of you, then the only thing you can do is approach ladies when he's not around.
Of course if you want my honest opinion, none of these women sound like they're worth it: if they're so blinded by appearances that they won't even talk to you, they aren't crap anyway.

Humour is a great weapon, or try being the one they can talk to or something. If you look like a horse with a mouth full of thistles then find something else the ladies are looking for that your friend doesnt have. Confidence will help lots to.
