I highly recommend going to a hairdresser to get this done, sometimes you cant tell the undertones in your hair and you can end up with orange or very brassy blonde hair. They will also be able to tell you what type of blonde will suit your colouring best.

Hey no dont ever try to go blonde straight from brown, you need to put a lot of red in your hair first then go blond, if you go blond straight from brown it could go greenish. There are loads of good products you can buy, there's a recital product about 10.00 where you dye it 1st with the base colour then add the highlights, i would try some highlights first cause when i first went blonde it was quite a shock. People say go to the hairdressers but they charge so much i havent been 2 a hairsressers for years and wouldn't pay the greedy ammounts they charge, there are loads of web sites offering advice on how to dye your hair from home its worth looking them up they'll give you a list of good products you can buy over the counter. Good luck dont take any drastic steps do it gradually putting a few light streaks in at a time.

It is possible but its not easy to do at home, try highlighting it first and then in a few weeks do it again, do this about 3 times and by this time your hair will be mostly blonde, now you can dye it blonde but go for an ash one to make sure it doesnt go too red.
good luck

Depends if you are deep dark brown with darker skin or light brown with light skin. If you are the lighter side of brown then go for Les Blondissimes range from L'Oreal Ash Blonde. (The ash blonde counteracts any brassiness you get in brown hair). They have the pre-lightener in them and come out really lovely. If your hair is quite dark then you'll have to do a pre-lightener first (Recital do one). You will then have to do a Recital blonde shade on top of the pre-lightened hair. You'll need to do touch ups to the roots about every 5-6 weeks. Still cheaper than the salon though. I've had my hair coloured in the salon before and I never notice any difference than doing it myself.

If you're doing it at home make sure you do a strand test first. Not for allergies and stuff, altho that's probably important. More important is that there may be a lot of red pigment in your brown. If so, you will get a lovely shade of brass when you lighten. Nice and Easy is a good product but my advice is go to the hairdresser first time. You can do it yourself after that.

I did that a while ago, i have been blond, pink, orange you name it. You will have to bleach your hair first, i used Super-drugs bleach. It worked well but it does dry your hair out, then i used Super-drugs beige-blond , i did not want the blonde bleachy look but it looked fine. It does dry your hair out though. I use the Super-drug colours as they are cheap and works fine. Best thing though is to go to Hairdressers but i could not afford it. Good Luck.:))

Trust me on this one...if you can possibly afford it, go to a professional stylist. They can do anything and do it without ruining your hair.

Also think about the upkeep of going from brown to blonde, roots. Try blonde highlights for that.

Yeah but I wouldnt recommend doing it yourself, it might mess it up. You really need to see a hairdresser and ask them to do it for you. They'll need to pre-lighten it and then put a toner on it to give you the most natural results
