I liked turkey, and began to have it about once a month after I learned how to properly cook it. No, it isn't supposed to crunch! LOL. People WAY overcook food generally.
If you remove the legs and thighs, put in large pan uncovered and cook for 1/2 hr, then add the rest of the body of the turkey and cook until the breast is 160F, you will probably like turkey also. It is cooked through, but juicy, and no crunch, except the skin.

Not at all. My mother cooks the turkey every year..And she thinks overcooking everything by 3 or 4 hours is good.. Is turkey suppose to crunch when you eat it? I'd probably enjoy it more but it takes so much energy to chew it that by the time i've swallowed, I've forgotten what I was eating.

I only love turkey when it's cooked to perfection, and I prefer the dark meat which happens to be fuller in fat. Once or twice a year I grab that leg and gorge myself like I was a part of the Flinstones family! If there is freshly made cranberry sauce and brussel sprouts I'd eat it more often, it really relaxes me.

It depends on how it is cooked, if it is not dry I love it. I had a seasoned roast rump of turkey recently and it was delicious. We are not into turkeys like the Americans are with their thanksgiving, we normally only ever have them at Christmas time in Australia.

I love turkey - like it hot on Christmas day but it's much nicer cold on Boxing Day with pickles, bread and bubble n squeek. It's also very good cold in sandwiches. Yummy - roll on Christmas!

Yes, I do... It's good for you. The only downside, if you eat enough of it, it can make you rather sleepy.
