Dark chocolate has a higher cocoa percentage.

Dark chocolate used to be referred to as plain chocolate and still sometimes is. I don't think there is a difference...probably just renamed it as a marketing ploy to make us buy more chocolate. There is however a big difference between milk and plain/dark chocolate (in case this is what you meant) as one has a much higher cocoa mass percentage and doesn't doesn't contain cocoa butter and usually also no dairy and less sugar. Dark/plain is better for you and in my opinion is superior to milk chocolate.

I've talked to some females, and a lot of them prefer dark chocolate. I actually think Dark Chocolate tastes bitter. A Bit of trivia: The Mayan people of ancient Mesoamerica invented chocolate.

Plain usually contains more cocoa solids than milk, but the same sugar. Dark or bitter sweet is the pureist kind containg the most solids and generally list the content usually 70 - 80%.

The dark one has less milk in it. Studies show that dark chocolate is good for one's health. This does not apply to plain Choco.

And the answer is yes. Dark chocolate has less sugar for one thing, it is a more bitter taste.

Yup! Dark chocolate taste like CRAP! But they're better and more nutritious than plain choco.

yes, they taste different. plain chocolate is usually refering to milk chocolate which has a creamier taste. dark chocolate can be a bit stronger too.
