Well not knowing anything else about the place, a survey done at the University of Leicester concluded that Denmark was the happiest country in the world. I'm not 100% sure exactly how they assess happiness. I think it's simply by asking people "Are you happy with your life" and getting them to answer on a 5 point scale.
In any case, if you pick Denmark, get ready for socialism and high taxes. If you're a big money earner, expect to pay tax percentages into the 70's (59% is the max income tax but with county taxes and others the amount goes up). But if they're so happy they must be getting something for their money, right?

If I could nail a fabulous job to go with the place, it would be in the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. I've lived there before. It's a great place. New Zealand itself is a lovely country.

Can't say I would ever move outta the US permanently, though Japanese culture fascinates me. Outside of that, I would look for the most open spaces, with the best of what nature has to offer. Along with the fewest people.

I have traveled to many lands both on business and pleasure. I have seen so many lovely country's and met so many nice people. But my life,my heart and my soul are American and I would not ever want to live any where but in the USA.We have our problems but we also have so many good things that counter them. The USA is not perfect but it is perfect for me.If for any reason ,I was forced to leave here ,I would go to northern British Columbia ,Canada, one of the most beautiful places on earth. But my mind would always be wanting to return "home" to the USA.

Well, although I have never been there, I would have to say Austrailia. Great barrier reef, ocean all around you. Very high per capita beer consumption, I am sure I would make friends quickly...I think I could live with the toilet water turning backwards...Yep, Austrailia would work for me, I think...

the best place to live is Spain, thats why i made the move two years ago.
Today is very warm, and blue clear skies, I'm off out now for a cafe con leche ten yards from the med.
Don't dream about where you would like to be, just do it!!!!!
Good luck.

I could not move away permenantly - I would miss my friends and family too much. I would love to move to the Czech Republic for three or four years though.
