i am a 24 years old girl. from about 2 months and a half i felt a lymph node on my neck, it was really small. i went to see a docter about it, he said that it is better to get it removed and have a bioposy. he did get it removed, and it was diagnosed to be caused by a virus. the problem it that right after the operation i had a very big lymph node in exactly the same place. i went to see another docter, he told me that it might be post operation complication or something. he told me to wait and not to worry about it. it has been about 2 months and the lymph node is still visible but it has decreased in size a lot. is it normal for a lymph node to stay that long, and how long will it take to dissappear? could this really be post operation complication or is it something else???

If it was removed, it won't grow back. It sounds like scar tissue to me.
2 of my children had to have them removed (to rule out cancer) and biopsied. One of them has a large lump where it was removed and they told us just to rub it for a few minutes every day to smooth it out. It redistrubates the fat and tissue.
