Why don't they spend more time trying to address the people who commit the violence?

Well, I suppose the Quran and the Hadiths preach violence against "infidels."

When you believe in something, you defend it from false accusations. The violence committers cannot be found on the street, they hide and do not carry labels. I doubt that they are see sites like these. They have their own sites, which urges others to embrace hatred for non-Muslims. I loath those guys.

I have a lot of practicing friends, and never ever has any one of them tried to justify the violence that others commit, from my understanding violence is not encouraged, and the taking of innocent lives certainly is not, as no one but Allah can take away life as he is the one whom blessed people with it, BTW I am not Muslim.

I agree with you but the problem is that it is very complicated. To address them you need to know what led them to be, think and act this way. It is a mix of unemployment, poverty, ignorance, lack of education, being idle, etc that led to frustration that people escape to 'extreme behaviour'; extreme violence, extreme numbness through drugs, extreme consumption of food, extreme shopping, etc.
Societies need to be addressed before individuals are and, in my opinion, this is a long term solution. The short term solution should be punishment so that people think before they comit such horrible crimes especially when they are made in the name of Islam.

Islam is the religion of peace and mercy... i can never jusge all americans as being criminals or discriminate due to Bush's stupid policy,same as Muslims,u can never judge an entire religion according to some fake so-called Muslims
