Yes. The licensee is the person in day-to-day charge of the premises. Once you've got agrement on the tenancy, you apply to the licensing magistrates. Many breweries and chains will provide you with the paperwork, but the licence is in you name.

Each premises has to have a DPS or designated personal supervisor who must be a personal licence holder. Its a day course with an exam at the end. Most breweries run them.
In short yes you do and the breweries will not talk to you unless you hold one.

You need to apply for a personal licence. You will also need to pass an exam first. It's called the BIIAB Level 2 National Certifiate for Licensees. It usually costs around £150 for the one day course and exam. I hope this helps!

you need a license, i beleive it is NCLAB 'on license' as opposed to off license which is sold to consume off the premises. you can get a handbook from the licensing board which gives info you need 4 exam. the off license is 25 questions (5 mandatory) you need 21 correct 2 pass, not sure about on license, woulld think it is similar, mines a guinesss thank you
