i offered 2 weeks ago, to come in and work from 9-6 (i work at a car dealership). i was all hell bent on the 9 hours, time and a half, until i woke up sick as a dog yesterday, and gradually feeling worse. haven't slept yet, can't keep any food down, and running a mild fever.

should i feel bad calling out sick, if i offered my services in advance?

no don't feel bad, you didn't want to get sick someone else will want ( or need) the time and a half and be glad for it, plus you need to keep your germs away from your co-workers and gnerally customer base

I've read through the "reasonable" answers and there are two options...
1. If there will be others there, (supervisor) they will see how sick you truly are and send you home. You won't have to worry about them thinking you're lying.

2. You're just too sick to go in, don't go and don't worry about it.

I know you've already made up your mind. To quit receiving answers, pick someone as a best answer and go to bed, if you haven't already.

Of course not! You are sick, right? Would it be better to spread your germs and get everyone else where you work sick, not to mention they would be giving time & a half pay for someone who's worth about half to them being sick???

Stay home, and we hope you get better soon!!!!!!!!!

No you should not. When feeling sick you better stay at home and recover. Going to office while not contributing is useless.
When talking health, think first me, me, me.

If you are very ill it would be bad for your health, and possibly bad for the health of your coworkers if you went in regardless.
