MBK - Skytrain BTS station National Stadium.
Or try the Weekend market - JJ Market

If you want the best, but not the cheapest, try the Paragon which you can walk too from the MBK centre. Very expensive, but maybe nice to window shop

Abraham,

For clothing the cheapest place to shop in Bangkok would be Pratunahm Market near the base of the Bayok Tower (the tallest building in town). For other items like CDs, DVDs, home accessories, etc. I would recommend the Khlong Thom Market weekend market near Hua Lom Porn train station (the main train station).

I would not recommend any of the malls and I would not recommend JJ Market (also called Jakujak Market).

I hope this information is useful for you. Good luck!

Skip the malls and check out the local markets, some in Bangkok are open late. Sure you have to bargin with them, but usually you come out with a better deal then you would get in a mall.

For all your above-mentioned, find them at MBK (Mah Boon Krong), Patunam and Chaktuchak (weekends only).
