Actually for normal people it's more of a turn on. It's nature's signal that you have become sexually mature and will soon be ready for sex. A little trim is OK, totally shaved is hard to maintain (2 day stubble, razor bumps, itching, etc.) And frankly, guys that are turned off by it probably prefer little girls...So, if you prefer guys that are potential pedophiles, want to spend several hours a week trying to keep it bald, or lots of money for wax jobs, embarrassing itching and scratching, shave away. But remember, real women have hair, little girls don't.

Tell your "friend" that only the immature ones who think pornography is real feel that way. Most people understand that pubic hair is a natural part of the human anatomy. That's not to say that it doesn't need to be neatly trimmed if it's bushy like a hedge, but shaving is abnormal. It started as a pornography trick used to make young-looking women appear to be pre-pubescent. Now grandmothers are shaving their coochie in a vain attempt to appear chic, and it just looks rediculous.

*Most* guys I know (especially American guys) prefer a shaved or closely-cropped crotch. A select few prefer natural pubic foliage.

The proponents of shaving/trimming say it makes the appearance of the genitalia underneath more attractive (or 'youthful', frickin closet pedos, bless their souls :-D). Most say it makes cunnilingus less messy, more sanitary, and less likely to leave little hairy surprises between their teeth or in the back of their throats, and that there's less unpleasant abrasive friction during sex. Some also say that body hair in general is unfeminine.

The opponents of shaving say that a bald crotch reminds them of a prepubescent child and they're turned off by it. They say that a hairy bush is more womanly.

My boyfriend dislikes when I shave because although he enjoys the look of a bald poon, the stubble a few days later is more scratchy and abrasive than my full-grown pubies. Penis skin is sensitive! Hello rug-burn! I've left some angry welts on his genitals due to stubble (shut up, they weren't an STD, I can already see the comments coming *lmao*)

to answer 'your friend' then no, not all men do. i personally don't like a great big hairy mass, but trimmed neatly it can have a pleasant appearance. though their are many men that would say otherwise, and a '70's afro bush (a la scary movie) may turn others on. Then again there are those who like a clean shaven appearance too. i myself fall into this catagory too. happy snipping....or not!!!!

Some do, some are turned on by it. Some like a girl as smooth all over as a baby.

my boyfriend prefers the "week after shaving" look. when there is a little bit of hair all over. i guess i like that for him too. but mostly guys like it clean, especially if they are going to eat you out. i would definitely shave it, nothing to lose, except your hair, which grows back. it just looks cleaner and well-groomed. looks like you care.

I do if it is long and scraggly and/or unclean and/or not trimmed to a nice little patch.
