It depends on the game you are playing...
In 8-ball, you get to shoot again.
In 9-ball, you win!
In straight pool, you don't get to shoot again unless you called the ball and pocket of one of the two balls you made.

This does not make any sense at all if you lose a turn in potting a spot and a stripe ball from a break. If this rule is to apply then player will do a soft @ss break instead of a massive break. Think about it.

nicely with 11 solutions I wasn't gonna difficulty answering. yet after examining each and all of the solutions it form of feels like all and sundry is speculating? Does everyone right here shoot pool?i'm beneficial possibly some leauges have regulations in place saying u lose, yet that must be the exception. I been enjoying for 10 yrs and have shot thruout,New Orleans,Mississippi,St Louis, and Alabama. everywhere I certainly have shot the unversial rule while u play is that if u make the 8 on the smash you WIN. in case you're making the 8 on the smash and scratch(cue is going in pocket,or cue off table)you lose. think of approximately it. If u make the 9 on the smash in 9 ball u win. in spite of the reality that 8ball u get your hues in first in the time of play then make the 8 and in 9 ball u hit type order. some could argue that when you consider that u hit the only first interior the 9 ball smash then while the 9 is going in its the comparable as a in play combination. even if it won't be able to be. Becuase u ought to call what pocket the 9 will circulate in in the time of interest play. yet on the smash if the 9 drops u win. So its the comparable with 8 ball. in case you pot the 8 on the smash you have won and somebody extra suitable be racking them for you.

The breaker choses to be spots or stripes and then remains at the table for another shot.
But this could be one of the differences between uk 8 ball, us 8 ball etc.

Most of the answers would be correct depending on which game you are playing? there are over 1,000 games that involve breaking. Assuming you are playing non-shot calling 8 ball, you would have the option to chose a color , and shoot again .

If you pot a one of each then the breaker has another go but he will play with which ever ball went down first.

yes you shoot again and it is still open table , you can then shoot which ever you chose solid or stripe, but if you dont make a ball on the following shot the table is still open and the oppenet then can attempt to pocket either a solid or stripe ..........
