take it to a bridal shop and take your maid of honor with you. have them show her how to do it so she will be able to lace you up on the big day.

I guess it depends on the sort of ribbon/rope you are using and what the style of the dress is.

Usually you start at the top and work your way down. If it is a ribbon, ensure that it is sat correctly, no twists or wrong sides facing up.

If it is a rope that is much easier, just chuck it through the eyes and it will be fine.

I don't think there is a right and wrong way, have a go at lacing it up in diferent ways and see which you like best!

heres an idea - fill the inside of the dress with a strong glue and get in it quick - that way u dont need to lace it up - if that wont work use a stapler and it will give it a little extra colour.

You need to ask at the shop where you brought the dress,or if the dress was made for you from a pattern have a look at the instructions an the pattern

lace it crisscross bottom to top making sure both sides are even then tie a perfect bow at the end like a sneaker only it has to be perfect!!Daisy

Whichever looks best to you. I have adapted loads of things in the past to suit myself including wearing something upside down.
Just because 'someone else says' doesn't mean you have to wear it that way.
