Don't think it does any good for slimming. But there are other healthy attributes of tea.
Slimming tea, on the other hand is different. They add some other plant which has a chemical compound that helps to burn fat. Most are also a mild laxative, to make you "get rid" of the dinner you just ate.
Still , best way to lose weight is to exercise and eat less.

It is astonishing that people still have faith that a simple tea could help shed excess kilos, and that people are still flogging this idea.
Healthy eating is the only answer to weight loss.
I'm deeply sceptical about the sort of claims being made for slimming herbal teas. The only way to slim successfully is by changing to long-term healthy-eating habits.
The only use I see for these teas is as an alternative to high calorie snacks. As long as you keep added extras such as milk (skimmed of course!) to a minimum and replace sugar with sweeteners, you can safely drink large quantities without piling on the calories.

I read in a magazine about this Matcha tea, a japonese tea, wich is actually a version of Green Tea, but more powerfull: "Matcha is a type of powdered green tea grown in the shade like gyokuro and which is traditionally used in the Japanese tea ceremony. These days, it is not uncommon to see it used in untraditional ways such as in matcha lattes and other green tea recipes. It is highly valued for it's rich supply of antioxidants and green tea benefits. Traditionally, structures of bamboo covered with rice straw are erected over the tea plants, blocking off 90 percent of the light for 3 weeks. Once harvested, the leaves that will eventually become matcha are steamed in the normal way green tea are, however they are not rolled but instead dried the then put into a wind tunnel type of machine which breaks the inner parts of the leaf away from the veins, resulting in a product known as tencha." Do a search for more informations!!!!

Yes it is somewhat of a slow process. The antioxidants in the non-fermented leaves help to purge your body of toxins, which in turn allows better absorption of proteins and minerals needed to boost your metabolism and help you lose weight. I never experienced any side affects, but it is possible if you are sensitive to caffeine. Green teas have a natural form of it. Those sold in organic food stores or are authentic to China are said to be the best, but any will work. It is suggested to drink upwards of ten cups a day for cleansing and weight-loss.

Yes I have tried Chinese tea, I drink green tea for slimming and it is fabulous, not a miracle cure but definitely good for you.
Just drink it while you are on a calorie controlled diet and it will supplement all the pop and coffee and milky tea you would normally have.. good luck :-)

I agree it can help, Green tea that is. If not drinking my usual cuppas of Earl Grey, I will put green with regular to help with the taste.
My brother, drinks only green and swears by it. Yes, i can drink it not mixed, and do at his house.
You have to check round some taste like they have been brewed in old, sweaty football socks, some are good. I use looseleaf, BTW.

Say to friends, family and work co-workers that you’re dieting. Support from the people around you keeps people motivated, stops you from cheating along with makes it less likely that you fall off the wagon.
