You mean yeast infections?
Keep yourself clean. After showering, dry your pubic area well, even in between the folds. Vaginal yeast thrives in warm, moist places.
Wash your hands before touching your privates.
Be sure your sex partner washes hands before touching your privates.
Wear cotton underwear. Synthetic materials don't allow the skin to breathe as well as cotton.
Do not wear tight pants or undergarments.
During periods, change your pads regularly.
Do not douche! It washes away natural infection-fighting bacteria your body needs.
Change your underwear daily.
Wash undergarments with hot water.

--Wear cotton underwear that is the correct size for you. If not all cotton, you must get a product that has a cotton crotch minimum.

--Use a mild soap to wash the crotch area with.

--Eat yogurt regularly.

--When you use the toilet, make sure that you always, always, always wipe from FRONT to back; or, pat the vaginal area dry.
.
--If sexually active, INSIST that your partner pay close attention to his own hygeine. A lot of stuff passes from men to women--men may not necessarily know they have anything that's causing in/transmitting an infection to you. They often don't have symptoms unless their infection is advanced. Women, simply bc of how we're built, we get the symptoms (and suffering) first. Our bodies are real incubators for yeast and bacteria that can cause us lots of probelms.

--If you still get a vaginal infection, and you are certain that is precisely what it is and not something more serious, apply plain yogurt into the vaginal canal. It's cheap and highly effective--I've done it several times, lol, and avoided a doctor's visit and fee, as well as the costs of OTC medication when they finally came out.
