You won't get them from around the house...it won't give you worms, so you canjust pick them up with a paper towel and dispose of them (flush) . but she just needs the wormer every 2 weeks until they are gone..
Ask the vets in your area if they have REVOLUTION.. it is new..wonderful stuff..it is a spot-on application, and will get rid of worms safely.. vets are encouraged to give the first month for free, so call all vets to see who has it..

Witha serious worm infestation in a puppy it can take weeks to get it under control. If tapeworms are present as well then you need to eliminate fleas in addition to treating for worms. Dewormers from the vet work very well, but will need to be repeated every 2 weeks for a while if there is a heavy infestation suchn as you describe. Take the puppy to the vet for a complete exam and to be dewormed again, treat for fleas, make sure to keep all stool in the yard picked up, keep all bedding washed where the puppy sleeps, keep your house vacumned..
Do NOT buy Hartz products or any other OTC dewormers. They aren't effective plus they can be very dangerous to your puppy.

It may not even be worms.. take it to the vet. I thought my puppy had it too..She had all the symtoms of a dog with worms..I gave her many types of dewormers, and it never worked. I took her to the vet and it turned out to be something else!

Call your vet asap and ask for the wormer Panacur,it is given by weight for three days in a row.,or you can get the Nemex 2 for your pup and it can be purchased at any feed store, but be sure to follow directions.A pup should be wormed every two weeks until at least 14 to 16 weeks of age.In the house, just pick them up with a paper towel and flush. No danger of you catching anything.

I would call the vet a.s.a.p! I've never heard about it coming out of their mouths but you should definitely let him/her know about the situation. Hopefully you don't have any kids around that can pick these worms up and put them in their mouths. Sorry I can't be much more help but that's what vet's are trained for. Good luck with that.

we had to use a dewormer for a month (ours had round worm). i would suggest to keep giving the meds and take one of the worms that came out of her mouth to the vet to make sure its the type of worm they were trying to treat

Buy over the counter Hartz for puppies, and they sound like ascarids to me! Your puppy may be eating her own feces also. But Hartz will do the trick!
