Dear If God B 4 Me,

These are some real essential steps and there are a couple of other essential things like getting plugged into a church so you can grow in fellowship:

1) Believe that they are a sinner.

2) Believe that Jesus Christ who was sinless is the perfect sacrifice provided by God to pay for their sins. (Believe this with your heart and confess it with your mouth). Jesus died, and rose on the 3rd day and was resurrected and sits at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us.

3) Believe in the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit (believe that they are all one-- there is only one God- only possible because God is God).

4) Believe that the Bible is God's word and do your best to live and follow it.

**There's a pretty good book by John Stott called Basic Christianity. i think the Calvary Chapels also put together some new believers packages that help with that too...

hope that helps.

Kindly,

Nickster

First off you have to be weak-minded and susceptable to brain-washing.You must be able to believe in something just because some other people do.You must have the ability to believe in something that you cannot see, touch, smell, taste, hear or prove in any way.You also must be able to be manipulated through guilt and fear. And last, you have to be incapable of accepting the fact that you die and go into the ground and don't live forever, which is really what every christian is after.I might be the only person I know who will be glad for the much deserved rest when this is over.

Different people will give you different answers, depending on how they were taught.
Christians, by definition, are followers of Christ. That in itself can have a zillion different points of view on just what it means to follow Christ.
In my opinion, if you believe in Christ and follow his teachings the best of your personal understanding and heart, you are a Christian.

Others who refer to themselves as Christians require only that one believes that Jesus is the Son of God, that he died and was resurrected from the dead, believing that those who do will follow the command of Christ to "take up your cross and follow me". Certain other denominations (The Church of Christ, International Churches of Christ, and the Independent Christian Churches) teach that the definition of a Christian is someone who has been baptized as a repenting adult. For them, adult baptism is the transition from non-Christian to Christian.

You hate gay people.
You refuse to believe that Catholic and Christians are the same.
You preach people randomly.
You think that shoving religion down others throats is helping them get closer to God and Jesus.
You constantly argue with atheists.

Mark 8:34-35

"And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it."

I am biting my tongue. NOT. I believe that you must believe that God is capable of sending you to hell. So, because you live in fear, you blindly accept anything that anyone tells you if they are standing in a Christian church.

The True Founder of Christianity

The teachings of Paul, the true founder of Christianity, cannot be found anywhere in the teachings of Jesus or in those of prophets before him.
