Dear LizInBliss,
The Bible teaches that when God created everything He said it was good. In fact it also teaches us that all things were created for His glory.
However, Lucifer became prideful and decided to rebel against God. The Bible doesn't necessarily explain why Satan rebelled against God and doesn't really explain why we as people rebel against God- it does call that act of rebellion sin.
God didn't make a mistake- but it shows that God values freedom and gave his creation a choice to choose for or against him. The Bible teaches us that Lucifer will have to pay for his decision to rebel against God (and he also took 1/3 of the angels in heaven with him during the rebellion - and these are what are known as demons).
God is not responsible for Satan's rebellion. God does not make mistakes- though he allows for them and covers us by His Son Jesus. Otherwise you and i would not be able to live up to His perfect standard of holiness. None of us could be good enough to please God- it is only by faith in Christ.
Hope that helps and makes sense. Feel free to email if anything needs to be clarified.
Kindly,
Nickster

No, in order for good to be shown as good man had to see and experience evil. That is what the whole Adam and Eve story was about. God doesn't make mistakes. Satan has a purpose in God's plan and when that plan is finished, Satan will be destroyed. Good question.

Forget that. When he tried to overthrow heaven, why did god cast him to earth?
Why not make him cease to exist? The bible even says he had a third of the angels to back him up. Why would 1 of every 3 angels in heaven try to overthrow god?
When god tortured Job because satan talked him into it, why did they bother? Cant they see the future? If they didnt know what one man would do how can revalations be forseen? It was like a bet.

Adam and Eve are mistakes, so God has created imperfect beings. Unless God had set out to create mistakes, then He had made mistakes I guess.

No, Lucifer wanted to be worshiped, he wanted to be God. That's just arrogance. That's why he was kicked out of heaven, because there was no way he could be someone that created him, especially God.

ok..let me tell u that satan exists not bcoz of God's mistake..
God has given our minds freedom meaning we can do whatever we want. God cud juz make us robots and command us everytime.. but what He wants is to know who really loves Him.
there, He created Satan..y? bcoz God uses him along with other evil spirits to test us..He cud hav not made His own enemies or He cud hav used His power against evil so they wud no longr exist .. The only thing He wants to happen is that we do good and love Him bcoz we CHOSE Him not bcoz we are obliged

No... if you're asking is evil a mistake... then No. We need darkness as well as light in the world to give us free will. What choice is there if there is only one?
