It depends on the hospital proticol or surgery. You can definately ask them if they will put it in after the anesthesia. Honestly, if inserted correctly, it shouldn't hurt, it should just be some pressure. Good Luck!

You do not need to worry. Its normal dear.
Before anesthesia all your organ will behave exactly the way it is now. During anesthesia most of the organs would be replaced by some instrument, especially on which you are going to be operated. After wards slowly every thing would put beck to normal use. Catheter may be used during this post operative period.

if it's a catheter for administering anesthesia, it will be put in before a surgical procedure.

they'll insert a catheter after you're injected with anesthesia so you'll not feel the pain..Ü God bless..Ü

It all depends on the doctor. Sometimes they wait untill your under to do it because it is less stress on you.
