My cousin (my best friend in the world) was killed by her boyfriend , then 3 years later, my husband was killed in my home right in front of me. Not trying for sympathy, it has just been hard ever since. I have a 5 year old son, and sometimes I'm get really scared of the future. I had always counted on them being there for me and my son, and now they're not. I know now not to take anything for granted, and I try to spend as much time with everyone that I love.

I would say that being sexually abused as a child started off a chain of events that affected my life and made me the person that I am now. I'm a stronger person now and have had to go through many obstacles to get here.

being afraid of my mum from the time I was 7 till early 20s (now), My fear of her is the abuse i've endured.I could not face her at all.I'm still scared recalling the beatings, she'd hit me for my grades, even a simple thing as stirring a cup of coffee anti-clock wise gets me in trouble with her.I almost feel that I couldn't take it anymore.
But thankfully I was 'rescued' by a member of the family who gave me a new life and confidence to strike out on my own so I don't rely on her anymore. And am doing fine on my own.
However every now and then when I see someone else going thru what I had, the memory of the abuse still haunts me.

The horific live T.V. coverage of 9/11.
I set about writing 70 chapters on the subject.
Now I have a clearer picture of what went on.

When my brother was stabbed to death with a 12 inch butcher knife through the heart in 1987. My husband's sister (now ex husband) was the woman that stabbed him to death out of jealousy. I was very close to my brother, and life has not been the same since he died.

Molestation, Rape, Abuse..blah..blah...blah-All of which have made me strong,, so tragedy..I agree with the first guy Bush being re-elected and Tony Blair ruining the UK Grrr!!! Bad politicians-Foreign policy out the door.
True tragedy though when life lived me and I didn't live life.

Going to prison for something I didn't do. The only good out of it, it cured my alcoholism, but maybe the divorce did that?
