Speeding. Were you surfing for some "profiling" answer? Sorry. I do, however, feel for my cop buddies when they here a hot call about a suspect described as (and here I make up a hypothetical) a black male in his twenties, about 5'9" and 180 lbs., wearing a dark windbreaker and jeans. And when they see and stop a person of that description they're accused of profiling or stereotyping. I'd like to know how else they can do their job. It seems folks these days are way too quick to take offense, and way too slow to see the other guy's position.

To be honest and keep it real, I didn't do anything but look at them. Because of my past In which I made some mistakes, who doesn't? They can't seem to let it go after 20yrs, they harrass me constantly. I will not move from my home just because they want to harrass me. So that I choose to stay, they started now attacking my house now. The county came in and said our backyard was not tidie enough., I could probably agree. However they decided they would come put everyone in jail and empty our backyard. We lost about 60.000 in personal property and vehicles. Not to mention they took all of our machine shop tools. Finally they sent us a bill for all the things they took. Now you probably ask yourself what possibly could this girl possibly done? I delt drugs for awhile thinking it was cool. I know now that it was wrong. I went and did my time and now 20yrs later Im still paying for it. So what did I do to get pulled over. HUM>>

the last time i was stopped by a policeman i was driving 5mph TOO SLOW!!!-you see i was in a "40" zone doing 35mph-and what happens here is that the general consensus of the police is that drink drivers deliberately drive slower to avoid detection (i was sober by the way-going to work in fact). and so he pulled me over to ask me about "lane discipline"-after a lengthy and quite heated conversation that went along the lines of "officer i am aware there is a law against me speeding but i can drive as slow as i want within reason along this road so long as it is not over 40mph-why don't you just admit you wanted to see if i had been drinking??"-after which time he admitted so and once he had ascertained i had not been drinking he let me go with a cheery farewell.

It only happened to me once....they stopped me because I ran a traffic light. Of course I saw that light, but I thought I could just make it.

Oh, I was so angry with myself as they gave me a pretty ugly fine....fa !
