a man lives in a 36 level apartment. he lives on the 36 floor and he goes to the ground floor every day for work. when its raining he can go all the way to the 36 floor and when someone else in the lift he can go to the 36 floor. but when it is sunny and no-one but him in the lift he has to go half way and walk all the way home.

Because he's short and the umbrella helps him reach the button on the elevator. ^_^

He's a midget. When it's raining he carries an umbrella and manages to reach the top buttons with it. When it's not raining he can only reach the bottom buttons. Going down is not a problem but returning up only gets him so far before he has to walk the rest of the way.

he is too short to reach the buttons of the lift so with the help of an umbrella he can press the buttons when its a sunny day he does not carries an umbrella so till whatever button his hands reach he press that and the rest floors he climbs
