Have you been tested for the bacteria "H Pylori"? Its a that you can get and it causes stomach ulcers, it is cured with an anti-biotic.

the following advice is for depression, but some of it might apply to you. with an irritated gastrointestinal system, the advice to take certain dietary supplements may be wrong. For instance, multivitamins can upset ones' stomach. I know very little about ulcers. I've read DGL is good for them, I think. There are probably other herbs, too. Some herbs/minerals may have contraindications with your medicine so ask your doctor before any self-treatment. Alcohol is bad, of course.

-------------------------------
anyone who is depressive should take a good multivitamin most days with a meal. while you are at it take a calcium-magnesium-zinc pill, unless by some miracle you get enough calcium. (or you take a calcium-based antacid) also, get lots of beneficial fatty acids - particularly omega-3. take a couple grams of fish oil daily if you can't find enough dietary sources.

then try getting lots of sunlight. get some vigorous cardiovascular exercise as often as you can. practise good posture and learn a little about basic yoga postures and t'ai chi warmups.

eat a varied very high protein, high fiber diet low in saturated fats and refined carbs. shun additives and preservatives. you want fresh whole foods, not overcooked. eat leafy greens and colourful vegetables. eat tree nuts, eat fish, eat more fish, the more nutritious fruits (berries, etc.), herbs, legumes, and some grains. don't eat sweets or drink sweet/sour drinks. instead eat fruit. diet really really really matters. it has a slow cumulative effect.

stay hydrated. this can be a matter of simply avoiding certain foods that dehydrate you. try to get plenty of regular, restful sleep.

that's all that comes to mind. you might wanna check if you notice any effect from ginseng pills. If you use caffeine, try 3 weeks off. If that's no good, consider optimal dosage and timing relative to work/sleep.

I had a Duodenal Ulcer which was diagnosed by a Grastroscopy, they found it was bleeding. The hospital said it was caused by Helicobactor Pylori.I was put on a treatment called 'Triple Therapy' which is a cocktail of antibiotics and other drugs designed to kill the Helicobactor.Ask your GP about this 'Triple Therapy' because it works.I have not had any trouble since, which is 10 years ago.The treatment can be done at home.

You might also want to try looking at your diet and lifestyle (though it sounds from previous answers that bacteria have a lot to answer for!). Less caffeine and less spice, and, if you can, less stress and make sure you sit upright when eating and directly after.

The C18th 'cure' for a stomach ulcer was a cup of ridiculously strong coffee with as much brandy in it as possible - Guess at least they'd have died drunk!

Im assuming that the ulcer is a gastric one.................

You need to cut out all alcohol intake, quit smoking, avoid spicy foods, do not take aspirin under any circumstances (unless directed by ur doc), and most importantly, get a proton pump inhibitor prescribed by your doc, such as omeprazole or lansoprazole, as these will protect the lining of your stomach and aid in the healing of the ulcer.

Some ulcers can be related to stress, so start by trying to be stress free. Also I have two siblings that suffer from ulcers ultimately your need to see a doctor so he can get to the bottom of things.

As others have said. Ulcers are usually caused by a bacteria in your stomach, Heliobactor Pylori. It can be tested for easily and if you have it, can be cured with some fairly strong antibiotics.

stomache ulcers are caused by a certain bacteria. You need to get the RIGHT antibiotic. Do some research on the net.
go back to your doctor and make him proscribe something useful. Always remember: it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease". They'll just fob you off otherwise.

First of all I guess that you had taken your prescriptions but you don't follow the right directions like the proper time and doses and the period of administrating it should last for months, but if you did it properly then I can tell you that gastrointestinal diseases are highly influenced by psychiatric tension you should be in completely nervous rest change your life style if it is possible or try to create new cheerful impressions.
