The guy I like has won an even more prestigious award than last time. I promised at the last celebration where I took him out to a cafe that if he wins this one I'd treat him again. We have just confirmed that I now owe him another meal (but not on the time and place). Do you think he will like it better if I plan the thing? Or if I leave it totally up to him to choose the restaurant? I'd also be happy to host a meal at my place or put on a picnic. Any ideas would be appreciated. To give you an idea, he is a very intelligent, funny and caring guy. He likes arts, history, wondering around aimlessly etc.

Why does 'besotted' spring to mind?
Looks to me from this question and your other question you are doing all the running here.
Without wishing to sound like a damp squib I think you should back off a bit, I think you are going way over the top.
Whats wrong with this guy if he hasn't made a move by now there is something wrong some where. (Yes I have read all your details).
Just at least consider what I have said, I wouldn't like to see you hurt again, just back off a bit, let him make a move, if you go over the top completely and get rejected even gently you will be a very sad person.
But whatever, good luck to you, I think this guy needs a swift kick in the Bu**
