Ear Ache are caused by many things but often otitis media which will require antibiotics (Madribon, etc). For temporary relief, wash ear canal with fresh hydrogen peroxide to remove cerumen (ear wax) and dry carefully. Warm baby oil or olive oil (just warmer than body temperature) will provide some relief. Drugs such as ibuprofen or even aspirin will help a little (not much). Sometimes the pain is referred from one of the molars or wisdom teeth and will only stop after dental treatment.

Hey, sorry that you are not well,
when I have an ear ache I follow these steps:
1) I heat olive oil to a slightly warm temperature(CAUTION, DO NOT OVERDO THE HEATING OR YOU COULD BURN YOUR SELF, only a little warm)
2) I cover my head pillow with towels and get napkins.
3) I pour a bit of the olive oil into one of my ears and lie on the other one so the oil can soak in the oil filled ear
4) do this for 3-5 minutes and then drain by placing the paper towels/napkins on the oil filled ear and laying on it, (repeat as needed)
5) always consult your doctor... this is what my doc. told me...I hope it helps
All the best,get well!!!!!!!!!

if it's so bad that you can't stand it you may need to go to emergency. You may want to try this firs:
warm uo some mineral oil (or baby oil) but not TOO hot. Using an eye dropper, put a few drops into each ear canal. I think It will make the owies go away. Also, you should be taking a product like Ibuprofin which not only reduces pain but also has anti-inflamatory properties. Good Luck!

Earache Treatment
Self-Care at Home
Any severe earache requires medical attention. Only a doctor can make the proper diagnosis of otitis externa, otitis media, or other less common causes of earache including problems that are not infectious. These diseases have similar symptoms making self-diagnosis unwise and potentially dangerous.
