I am so in love with him, and cannot imagine living without him. My life has been built around him for a long time. He's leaving in three weeks. I am so depressed. I'm in college, and I might have to take a semester off because of how I may react to him leaving. I need some wise words of advice please...

Sometimes love needs to endure separation in order to be proven as true love. If you guys are meant to be sooner or later you will be together. Remember that a man always needs his space. He needs you but he will feel more admiration and respect for you if you understand this. By showing a mature attitude and supporting him you will show that you are definately his true love. A man that is given his space will always come back to you, if he truly loves you. And if he doesn't then you will have the satisfaction of having shown dignity, self-respect, friendship, and honest love. Remember that to love is not selfish. Do not focus on the departure as a catstrophe, you are perfectly capable of surviving. You will survive. You must learn to be happy by yourself before being happy with someone else.

Is there no way you can transfer colleges. If you're going to take a semester off, at least take it off because you're busing moving, not moping.

See gal First of all the question is weather he is also feeling the same as u r feeling if yes nothing to worry about..he will come back..if NO..then my friend let him go...coz even if u take ur sem off its gonna hurt ur career.and u will be good for nothing.its better for us to leave the person we love if he is in our destiny ..he will come back..or simple idea is to take the name of God...All the best..

i went through the same thing. my girlfriend moved to washington...and it was really hard....we tried to make it work as a long distance relationship, but things are sooo much harder and complicated that way. you will still get your opportunities to see/talk to him again....just make the best of your time now, try to not let his absence bother you...and you will hopefully be together again. :) goodluck
