I only have 1 yr of school to go, i had to quit school and my job because of a back surgory. I am having trouble getting a surgeon. I have enough $ to pay rent through dec and Jan.I saved. I have tried the online work and survery things, and they were all scams. I was adopted and have no family or people to help. I know it sounds wrong, but it is the truth. I can't walk unless i take these oxy pills, and when i do, i sometimes feel stoned and i dont like it. what do I do? The on line work things are a bunch of bs. and i spent hours to make $5 here and there. and the legit ones make you have to pay in the end. They all do. I am sooo tired and going out my mind. I try so hard. I have strip throat now, bronchitus, and here i am at a friends living. I can't pay soon. What do I do?

And on Thanksgiving, what are you Thankful for?

Go to the hospital. Free clinics. Alternative medication. Sorry. In the face of adversity you have to be resilient and resourceful. Best of luck.

I have a sis that was in the same condition you are in with your back needing surgery, she was in bad shape too... She did apply for disability, but it took a long time... also apply for medicaid and talk to the finance people at the hospital! Tell them of your needs and circumstances... it sounds like you need a good dr. right now... Medicaid will also cover some medical bills that are previously built up, they do that to help people that don't have any insurance, but you have to qualify first. Some of this does take time, so talk to your dr. as well as the hospital where the surgery will be done. Most of the time they will help people in serious need! There is also a grant/loan from the county that helps too, but it is very demanding on your personal info. They want to govern how you spend your money and then you have to pay the loan back later on! We opted not to go that route, it went into personal and religious convictions on certain things we do with our money. It is just another option for you to look into though. There were many good ideas on the other answers... check it all out and then see what you can do to get the surgery you need. Good luck and best wishes for your health and your future! ;0)

umm, you're adopted and you're family didn't put you on their health insurance? How old are you? Are they still responsible for you? You can't be refused necessary medical attention in the US for not having money or insurance.

Apply for state insurance and financial aid if you are in the US. If you are below the income guidelines you should have no trouble getting it.

Apply for disability. If you've worked, you've paid into it. Get some of it back. Good luck!
