This is a strange question to answer. In recent years, studies have proven that poor oral hygiene can be linked to several diseases including heart disease. So possibly, yes, probably no. There are no natural cures for an already infected tooth. See a dentist. Have it filled or removed. The best way to avoid tooth decay is prevention. Brush and floss twice a day, and visit the dentist 1-2 times a year.

Do you know why dentistry is its own branch of medicine? Because after the world started to consume loads of sugar, caries became # 3 most common death cause (this data is from Finland where they've done proper research on this in 1890's).
So a decayed tooth can be fatal.

Theoritically, a decayed tooth can still be dangerous, especially an infected third molar has direct nerve connection to nerves leading to brain, nasal cavities and eyes.

Some decayed teeth that become greatly abscessed have been known to cause infection that spreads to the eyes, ears, and even the brain. In some cases it has caused death. As far as cure for the infection, eating raw garlic can knock out a number of bodily infections, mind you, it's no treat to eat those raw chunks. Best to chew it quick and wash it down with juice or milk. If you can stand to do that, eat about 3 cloves (that's the small sections of the bulb) everyday for about a week and see how you fare. I don't really like taking medication so I did it once for a lung infection and in about 3 days I was good!

I am not totally sure it can kill you but I know if you leave it, eventually it will abcess and i've heard that the infection or the puss, or whatever it is, can go to your brain. Trust me, don't let it abcess because that is some serious pain! See a dentist as soon as you can.

If you got a blood infection from it, yes. Or the infection can move to the other organs, particularly the heart.

I guess if it got severely abscessed it could cause blood poisoning and be potentially fatal. At any rate they HURT! Best to get it taken care of as soon as possible so you are pain free.
