i am trying to grow my hair out and im at the stage where its too long to spike and too short to look good dry and down... ive been slicking it back but i think it looks like an old greasy man style... i cant find ne thing on the web to help ne one have advice or pics on styles for the "ugly stage"

Don't wear a hat! Try this. Comb it down and wear hairclips. They can be cute or punky, depending on how you accessorize them with the rest of your outfit. I have a silver diamond-studded hairclip with a flowery motif, and I wear if I want to "bling out." Comb your hair neartly and spray it with a shinining spray, then add in the clip. It will look very pretty and will go great with dresses, jeans, or anything.

Use hair wax, go for the purposely messy look.
