I tried out nasal irrigation and I guess I put too much salt into the solution and my nose stings like crazy after few seconds of rinsing so I stopped. But the next day, I had a lot of thick white phlegm in my nose and throat what should I do? And also, when you take horseradish and garlic, do you get more post nasal drainage? Is it supposed to let the mucus drain down easily?

I have a Birmingham nasal douche -

make the water the same salinity as you would gargle with (and same temperature) - too salty is TOOOOOO salty

Might just try warm water to gently flush out

Horseradish & garlic have that effect on people.

I can't tell if the problem happened before or after irrigation. If it happened before, then it sounds like a virus.

Your treatments should get things moving out- so you might have more drainage at first- better out than in- and stuffed up=D
