Okay, i had auburn color hair, which i had colored a month ago, but i REALLY missed my lightbrown/dirtyblonde/caramel hair color so, last night i dyed my hair and its DARK brown with a hint of red tones in it. Is it really bad if dye my hair again in like a week ( i DESPISE my new hair but im scared ill completly kill my hair because i've dyed it at least 4 times this year). What should i do and what color should I do to get that dirty blonde/caramel color again??? please details would be wonderful!! thank u!

it is safe to dye your hair once a month. They have some real nice dye's for $10.00 and under. take your time and pick out an ash Blonde then look at the box where it say's if your color is this, this will be your new color. You may have to go very light to lighten up the brown and it may take more than once to get it to the color you like. If you do not like the red undertone make sure you pick ash blonde that gives the dirty blonde color. Wait a few days before putting anything on it.

Your hair turned out that color becase you put one dye on top of another. Anytime you dye your hair another color you should remove the other color first. I learned that lesson the hard way too, when I first dyed it about 6 years ago.
As for fixing it, what kind of shape is your hair in? If it isn't too damaged and you plan to leave it alone for awhile, you can remove the color and then redye.
Going to a professional is a very good idea because they will know how to best achieve your desired color and can assess the damage.(Damaged hair doesn't "grab" color like healthy hair does.)
Salons remove color by stripping it. I think it has some kind of bleach in it. But if you were to do it yourself and have access to a Sally Beauty store you could use a product called Colorfix that is a color reducer and doesn't use bleach like the salons and is less damaging.
Also, you stated that you "had auburn color hair...which you colored a month ago". Is that your natural hair color or the color you dyed it?
I'm no expert in haircolor so if you're really concerned about the condition of your hair I would really recommend going to a salon.

ok first did you color it yourself? is it a permanent color or semi-perm? if semi it will gradually fade and lighten up, so just wash it alot to lighten it, and no it will not hurt your hair to color it again, being a cosmotologists myself you should see how often i color my hair in a year, sometimes in a month ha!, but if your scared it will damage it, just get a really good conditioner to leave on it, even add some heat to it if you have the patientce, but if you just want something over the counter pantene or vo5 makes some really great cond to leave in your hair then rinse out, if you want to lighten your hair i would suggest adding some sublte highlights all over, pulling thru the cap, but i wouldn't pull much

I colour mine ever y 5 or 6 weeks, when the roots start coming in grey. Just wash your hair 4 or 5 times at least once with dish liquid(NOT DISHWASHER LIQUID) to get all the residual colour out, and buy something that lightens your hair. I suggest you get the box and call the 1-800 number on it in the morning and ask them which they recommend

i think you should cut off the hair and leave your head bear with no single hair like the skin of your face then i hope your lightbrown hair will grow if no changes at once then do it every time it grows ,cut it off untill your lightbrown hair is back.

go pay money & get it professionally done. get references from friends or else where first though- make sure they have plenty of experience considering all the damage that has been done to it.
