If you have to ask, you already know the answer within yourself. You feel very uncomfortable. Ask the officer who checks on you to do a background check. If she wants to leave, let her go. In the meanwhile, you should be checking on certified nursing assistants at local home health care agencies. Get fliers out at local hospital. Some nurses may be looking to do live-in work. Dont forget community colleges and such.

in my opinion i think that you should let her go. you should find someone who is trustworthy. you may want to hire someone that is a christian and make sure that they are living what they say. you should always do background checks on people because you don't know what you could be getting into. so your best bet is to do thorough background checks on anyone you may consider living with you to take care of you. if you are a christian and you know what god can do then you should pray about the situation and i guarantee that he will lead you in the right direction

How would we know, pay the 20 dollars and do the background check, if I couldn't trust anyone any better than that, or had any doubts, or felt the least bit uncomfortable, with them being in my home, I would just kindly tell them, I didn't need their assistance any longer.

Who is Valerie? I am sure she will be thrilled to see her whole name on a question on yahoo. You may not have to worry about Valerie anymore, I wouldn't work for you if I saw my whole name on Yahoo.

for everyone who has already asked this question, he is not asking you to know her, he is asking if he should trust her and what you would do in this situation...... my answer is that she seems a little shady, find new help through the state then you are probably a little safer.

YOU NEED TO CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY TO DO A BACKGROUNG CHECK ON THIS PERSON. CONTACT YOUR AREA COALITION ON AGING AND DISABILITIES AND THEY CAN PROVIDE YOU WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN CHECKED OUT THOROUGHLY AND WILL ASSIST YOU OR PAY THEIR SALARY.
