Krista,as I am a man,my spouse is female,but if SHE wanted to look at guy porn or use a dildo,or spend more time with her cat than me,that would be fine with me.In the case of porn,you'd have to be pretty petty and insecure to become jealous over what someone fantasizes about when they masturbate,as that is none of your business,but let's save that debate for a rainy day,ok?

The other Gods and Goddesses. Just because their faith says they don't exist doesn't mean they don't. Why do you think they killed so many people who couldn't be converted back in the early days of their faith coming to power.

GOD create human with the 2 (two) purposes, TO WORSHIP HIM and TO MAKE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with HIM. When 1st Human Fall into Sin, They were tempted by the "evil" ,Gen 3:5 "God understands what will happen on the day you eat fruit from that tree. You will see what you have done, and you will know the difference between right and wrong, just as God does", JUST AS GOD DOES, to be at the same level as GOD. it's written that She (Eve) wanted the wisdom that it would give her. After the FALL all the purposes is Changes....

human want as the same level as GOD, or we can say
HUMAN is GOD
thus the fall purpose is :
HUMAN is GOD is worshiped by Human
So If you asking me, why is written that I AM A JEALOUS GOD! It's because There's other GOD in Man's Hearts, which is not GOD YHWH, but him/herself as the person they Worshiped... and if it's not him/herself, the Fall human will choose other things that became IDOL of the hearts which is WEALTH, POSITION, SEX.
There's no other GODs, but HuMan make it... and Sin destroy all the relationship between Man and GOD... that's why HE is Jealous!

Are you jealous when your spouse cheats? How about if he cheats with a magazine or sex video, or maybe on the internet? The God's that 'God' competes with are those who are of evil origin, and those simply of the world. Things such as porno are obvious gods, but you can also include material goods, drugs, money, cars, jewels, and even other people like Madonna or other great stars. A balanced life can include these things, but when they are used in excess, or loved above what is right and good, they are out of balance and can become evil.

1st any other god is just a small god. Our God is the God of all gods. He is not jealous of any one or anything. Read again the verses and you will figure it out

Well everybody is going to say theirs is the right one. As for the christian god supposedly saying hes jealous,well i thought jealousy was supposed to be a sin, therefore according to that its sinned itself. Another reason why things don't make any sense.

I believe there is only one God, and He/She is too perfect to dwell in jealousy or other "human" sentiments.
It is human who have created many pictures of God, to meet their own needs. They have also projected their own emotions on their "lesser" God and created religions and Churches with rules to meet their needs to belong and to keep insiders in, outsiders out.
God, the universal God, is so far above all this. He is within us, and around us in nature.

stop arguing semantics
It is like saying, "I've been a bad boy" in the third person. Maybe God is like that, haha. What if he is walking around in heaven refering to himself in the 3rd person. For example, "Yeah that's right, God's on top of his game today".

it meant that he was jealous if any of his followers tried to bow down to any other god, back when the bible was written there were hundreds of gods and goddesses listed but he wanted to be the only one, i dont think any of them are real though
