If it is something typically eaten in a particular country, then you will usually find a shop in an area populated with quite a few people from that country- as there will be a demand enough for shops there to supply it. There is a frozen fish shop in Rye Lane Pecham (SE london) that sells a huge variety of fish- fairly sure I have seen catfish on the list...

Billingsgate fish market. I went there a couple of weeks ago and they sell catfish there. Get there early, and I mean very early like 4am.
