Getting off stage without passing out and quickly as possible.

Primarily, I'd be concerned with presenting the audience with something beautiful and enjoyable...of the two, though, I would be considerably more interested in any professional opportunities that might come of a good performance.

I think Markus hit the nail on the head here. If you're just trying to impress your girlfriend you're not going to do well with the rest of the audience. Unless she's your agent. You've got to approch the gig like every talent scout in the world is there to see you, and put on a show that blows their socks off. If you do that, your girlfriend will be impressed.

Neither. If you're thinking of either of those during your performance,... you're performance will neither impress your love interest, nor further you in other 'professional opportunities'. My 'priority' would be to make the performance worth experiencing to the entire audience.

Most definitely the professional opportunities. If I have a love interest and their interest in me is based on how well I perform, that's shallow. I would want someone to laugh with me if I messed up.
And the professional opportunities would be more critical.

As a male ballet dancer, the girls I've dated have always liked to watch me dance, but professional opportunitys are what your always looking for, especially after having trained as a dancer for 10 years. You want your hard work and the teasing from having to wear tights to be worth it!

I would think my priority would be to impress myself first. If you're not happy with your performance, how can anyone else be getting the best from you? Once you're happy...the rest would follow.

Definately the professional opportunities, that's why I choose to be in theater now and get on stage every chance I get!

I've performed countless times! The most memorable time was the end of school year ceremony at the end of sixth grade! I hate my English teacher's guts and I sang "Freak Out" to him in front of 200-300 people!!! My voice was kinda squeaky and I was shaking really bad, but it felt so good!!

"Try to tell me what I,
Shouldn't do,
You should know by now, I won't,
Listen to you!!"

It was so awesome! The principal praised me even more than usual. The woman comes to congratulate me herself after every performance! Davis (my English teacher) was sooooo pissed!!

Professional opportunities of course. Why settle for someone liking me now when the can like me when I make it big in the future?

I've been acting for four years now (I'm in 9th grade) and I truly want to pursue it as a career but I also love doing it to be with friends and becoming a character you normally wouldn't portray in real life:)
