People can say depends on situation, or career, or both even, but if I had to choose the answer will always be family, because what is there with just having a career? A family will always be there for you while a career asks more from you without giving any sense of joy back.

A family lasts a lifetime regardless if it's not the best family in the world. A career on the other hand has never last a lifetime even though it may feel like a lifetime. Family it will be.

how about both? cos u will always long for smth u don't have. i have family but do not have a career, so i miss career very much. but i wouldn't refuse from my family for the sake of having a career, cos i know i will miss family then

Family comes first. Would rather live in a cottage hearing my family laugh then in a mansion if they are all miserable. It is not the material things that count in life. It is the love and communication that you have with others. Especially family.

Both. Ultimately my family comes first and I wanted to stay at home with my daughter. My husband and I started our own service business so I could be there for my daughter and help contribute to the family budget.
