So are you just saying, that all you are is cells, and when they die, you die with them?

From what I've hears so far, I have to say that I applaud you atheists for believing something so harsh. I can never accept that your very being is a mass of pink cells in the middle of your head. Cuz it just isn't true. To me it isn't anyway.

Yes, I believe that would be end of my existence. I believe that we are made from cells and chemicals and our emotions are controlled by the chemicals. There are different proportions of chemicals in our brains depending on how we're feeling at each time (it's connected with nerve reactions too). You know how the rush of adrenaline effects you, right? There's a lot of other chemicals there too that control your emotions and can mess things up badly if for some reason there isn't enough of some of the chemicals (that is thought to be the cause of most mental illnesses). Our "soul" is our brain activity. When the brain is dead, that's the end of our existence. That's my belief.

You got it. Eventually, you have it right there.
1: There is no god. It is a scam.
2: There is no soul. Also invented.
3: There is no heaven nor is there a hell. Invented to scare silly people.
The body would gradually decompose. The bones are made of sterner stuff and would linger very much longer.
However, when you die, you ain't goin' nowhere save where the responsible members of your tribe place you with due reverence and respect.

Yes. And thank you for the applause. I have emotions and feelings because I have a brain. No brain, no thinking. When I die, nothing is left. Let me give you a simple analogy. What happens when you switch off a light bulb? It goes off and there is nothing. It is the same thing when we die.

Yes, I think that we are just dead. No afterlife. That's why I believe that people resort to religion, because they couldn't bear the truth of there being nothing after death, and that they really weren't anything special to a higher power. If someone came up to you today and said that they talked to God through a burning bush would you honestly believe them or would you think that they needed metal help? If someone came up to you and said that a higher power just told them the 10 unbreakable rules of the world and he wanted to spread the word, would you think them crazy? Honestly?

Yup.
My emotions, thoughts, and consciousness are a consequence of me having a brain. Remove the brain and I no longer exist.
---
Added: Yes. I am saying that when I die, I utterly cease to exist. I am my cells, without them, I don't exist.
---
Added: Whatever makes life meaningful for you, go for it. I find my life meaningful without needing such beliefs. I'll respect your need for them if you'll respect my not needing them.

No.
We would have to rot first. Hopefully, someone would pick us up, put us in a box and put said box in ground or in an oven. One way or the other (ultimately) there would still be some carbon particles left.
