Where you born with innate talents? By this I don't mean the ability to be obnoxious so please don't reply with obscene, cynical, or vulgar comments. I am being serious and I would really like to know how many people remember places they have never been to, languages they never studied, etc.....

I rremember a past life, and so do 2 of my grandchildren. My oldest daughter used to talk about when she used to be a big girl when she was only a small thing. my younger daughter used to say that she had to go to Dallas where she used to live to get better ( she was a very ill child), and when we were sure she was not going to live another year, we took her to Dallas for a holiday and she did indeed get better

I believe in reincarnation, there are some habits we are born with that I think come from the previous life. I can't remember the past life, but I think it is better that way, so we won't be burdened by the past. We have limited memory, so better load it with useful thing.
Also, I don't see the advantage of remembering the past since it is over and there is nothing we can do to change it. Let's focus on right now.

Reincarnation? I have enough to cope with in my present existence.I think most people have a talent if the definition of that is that they are better at doing something than the average person. But that is visible and can be repeated. People can remember languages they have never studied? How many of them can hold a conversation with a person in that language when it is the other person's native tongue.

I believe in past lives. I have memories of some of them.

Memories that have come on sudden and unexpected when triggered by something familiar in some way to the memory. It's happened spontaneously like that for me 3 times. The rest of my memories are from regression techniques. I prefer my spontaneous ones from before I believed in or even thought of past lives at all. They are much harder to explain away as my imagination.

As for latent abilities, my memories are more subtle than that and all I can claim is being able to draw pictures of the memories in my mind so that other people might see it as I remember it and what it looked like to me. I draw pictures of places I haven't been to from 'memory'.

I am very drawn to certain cultures in particular. But the first one I remembered (a spontaneous one) was from 16c. France. It was simply the feeling of walking leisurely through a chateau open air breezeway and the sway of my dress as I walked. It felt as if I was both in this time and that one at the same time like an overlay. The feeling was overwhelming and vivid and lasted for maybe 30 seconds before it faded.

That was before I ever thought of past lives or was even interested in anything like that. It creeped me out and I didn't know what I had experienced. I had one not long after that again and purposely stopped the experience and I wish I hadn't to this day.

Many years later it clicked as I was getting into past lives, that that is what I had experienced and I've had one more memory of that life in France and another in England. Both female.

What is really wierd is when you start having memories of being the opposite sex. I know of at least 2 lives that I was male. And surprisingly it is not a big deal or a shocker like you think it would be. No one understands that unless they expererience it.

Hope this helps a bit.

I believe in reincarnation but not in past lives.

I feel the energy that is our soul is easiest to explain as water, when we become alive our body is like the cup that holds our soul. As with any water poured into a cup, the water takes on some of the traits of the cup (tasting metallic in a metal cup) these are our hereditary traits as our bodies come from our parents. As we live our lives, our experiences color the water to something unique. When we pass from this incarnation the water joins the other water (souls) somewhere else. Now as any kid in school can tell you, when you pour colored water into pure water the color blends but not evenly as time passes. When a new life comes into existence water is taken to form their soul. This water may or may not contain some of the colored water from a past life but it never has all of the colored water from a past life. This explains why sometimes a certain place might seem familiar, or a certain event in history resonates within us but you never fully remember a past life.

Yes I do believe in reincarnation. I have experienced some memories although they are generally through a meditative state.

I somewhat believe in reincarnation... I don't remember any past lives.

I like the idea of our "souls" living forever.

I am an Atheist...

Reincarnation is a tragic lie! Every man or woman has only one life to live. After that, they face judgment, and either end up recieving eternal life or eternal death.
