Depends what the cause is. Peppermint helps instantly - smell it, chew a piece of gum, suck on a candy cane or drink some tea.
Or, eat some soda crackers. The baking soda in them calms stomach acid.

Nausea from alcohol: lay down and keep at least one foot on the floor.
Nausea from anything else: Breath deep and slowly in through the nose and slowly exhale through your mouth. Remain relatively still, close your eyes, and repeat "I'm not sick, I feel great"
But sometimes just puking is the best first step.

Brew ginger.
Boil 1-2 cups of water. Get about 1-1.5 inch of ginger, peel it, by scraping it with a spoon. rinse the ginger, then slice it very thin. Place it in boiling water. Lower the heat. Let the ginger boil for 10 minutes, then let it sit for another 10minutes then drink it.

I eat green (granny smith) apples. They have a natural substance that alleviates nausea. Cruise ships have been using that trick for years. I also ate a lot of them when I was pregnant and it really helped a lot.

It depends on why you are nauseated- is it pregnancy?, flu?, food poisoning? inner ear infection? etc, etc.
pregnancy--tiny bites of crackers- it's something with the salt and the cracker soaks up the gastric juice in your stomach
food poisoning or flu- emetrol-over the counter med take as directed on bottle.
ear infection- call your doctor.

if you have any plain alcohol pads or plain rubbing alcohol in a bottle take small sniffs of it. it interrupts your 5th and 9th(i think) receptors in your nose and calms nausea. really... it works i did this with my 3 pregnancies and all of my surgeries.

Got ginger ale? Anything with ginger. It is nice in pill (capsule) form.
The mint family has good "calmative" qualities.
Chamomile tea is also very good.
