As a Cadillac Deville owner, you know how essential it is to provide good care and maintenance to your vehicle. The Cadillac Deville radiator and cooling system are particularly important to maintain as one overheating can cause serious engine damage. Using putties or soldering to repair leaks in your Cadillac Deville radiator only makes your vehicle run hotter and more sluggish in the long run, and re-cores can cost as much as a Deville radiator replacement.
First thing I'd check is the water pump. You might try taking out the thermostat to see if removing the 'restriction' has any effect on the overheat problem and also to determine if there is a good flow through the radiator.
There is possibility you have a blown head gasket or you'll need a new coolant reservoir.

Sure, it is overheating if you leave the engione on.
If you maintain it and like any car not misuse it, it will be a supper Deville!
