I am a 29 yr old working for a mumbai based BPO.I get a take home-salary of Rs 15,000 plus free conveyance to and from office
along with 2 weekends off every week , unlimited free non-veg facility & unlimited free hard drinks facility. I am also a practicioner of Sahaj Marg Ramchandra mission- this is a spiritual meditation system that specialises in liberating people from the unending cycle of birth & death. My spiritual GURU has warned me to give up hard drinks & non-veg as,according to him, it will negate the spiritual benefits accruing to me, from the meditation practice. Now, it is a known fact that a person should always plan for his/her future well-beforehand.Now, I am going a step further than all others as I am not only preparing for my retirement benefits & yet to be born children's financial demands but also for my after life. Now, I am confused on whether to continue enjoying worldly pleasures or give up alcohol & non-veg for spiritual benefits! So, pleaz advise me .

Please follow your guru's words. But if you have still in doubt and pretend to satisfy both spirituality and worldly pleasures - it is no good in pretending to be a good deciple. Worldly pleasures are always attractive - and they are meant to be that way.

We have a good age old spiritual system which has answers to overcome these attractions. You have to step down from the spirituality level you are attempting to.

Let me explain. You are trying to do meditation. Now your mind plays the other way and drags you towards the things prohibited. You are not able to overcome the desires. Here if you see, meditation is not suitable for this type of situation. Meditation requires a mind that is ready to indulge in. So you have to step down from meditation and take up a different type of spirituality - that is going to temples. If even that didn't conquer your mind, take fasting, go on a pilgrimage. The more you undergo pain, the more you gain. This way you can climb in spirituality and at one point of time, you could actually meditate by standing upside down with surrounding fires! No kidding, I mean you can meditate and feel god's presence even under deep stress.

It would appear that you are pretty hung up on the material aspect of your life and are therefore denying yourself those things of a higher nature. You have several factors which need to be attended to. Egocentric being the primary one of them. Is pretty difficult to serve two masters at the same time.

Alchohol is a poison and not good for your mind. Smoking and caffeine do similar things. I personally have found that cutting these things out clears my spiritual channels, takes down blocks. It allows my mind and body to be in better tune to my senses.

you should experience it yourself.do experimentation.
compare yourself for 6 months ie leave for six months
after that you will say to everyone yaar that is very bad thing. also you will say the reason to everyone .. yeh kubudhi lati hai it destroys your positive intelligence.you are following the path to get the positive intelligence but your efforts are destoying your intelligence . so leave it as soon as possible at least before that ki aaap vapas to aa pao. do not be so late that you can not come back in spite of wanting to come back.
best of luck to you

it sounds like you already have a spiritual guide.

If you trust him follow his advice and cling to his words. If not find someone who you feel is worthy of your respect.
